From The Bible

I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.
(Psalms 32:8)

Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths. Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.
(Psalms 25:4, 5)

One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in his temple.
(Psalms 27:4)

Mine eyes are ever toward the LORD; ...
(Psalms 25:15 (to ;))

Blessed be the LORD, because he hath heard the voice of my supplications. The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: ...
(Psalms 28:6, 7 (to :))

... Saul, he made havoc of the church, ...
(Acts 8:3 Saul (to 2nd ,))

And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest, And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem. And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven: And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do. And the men which journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice, but seeing no man. And Saul arose from the earth; and when his eyes were opened, he saw no man: but they led him by the hand, and brought him into Damascus. And he was three days without sight, and neither did eat nor drink. ¶ And there was a certain disciple at Damascus, named Ananias; and to him said the Lord in a vision, Ananias. And he said, Behold, I am here, Lord. And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the street which is called Straight, and inquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul, of Tarsus: for, behold, he prayeth, And hath seen in a vision a man named Ananias coming in, and putting his hand on him, that he might receive his sight. Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem: And here he hath authority from the chief priests to bind all that call on thy name. But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel: For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name’s sake. And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost. And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized. ...

And straightway he preached Christ in the synagogues, that he is the Son of God.
(Acts 9:1–18, 20)

It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. ...

The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. ...

Let us search and try our ways, and turn again to the LORD. Let us lift up our heart with our hands unto God in the heavens.
(Lamentations 3:22, 23, 25, 40, 41)

¶ And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimæus, the son of Timæus, sat by the highway side begging. And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me. And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou son of David, have mercy on me. And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee. And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus. And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight. And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.
(Mark 10:46–52)

¶ O Zion, that bringest good tidings, get thee up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem, that bringest good tidings, lift up thy voice with strength; lift it up, be not afraid; say unto the cities of Judah, Behold your God! ...

He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.
(Isaiah 40:9, 11)

... the LORD shall guide thee continually, ...
(Isaiah 58:11 the (to 1st ,))

Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.
(Jeremiah 17:7)

... Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. ...

I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. ...

I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. ...

I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep. And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd. ...

... and I know them, and they follow me:
(John 10:7 Jesus, 9, 11, 14–16, 27 and)

Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.
(Psalms 130:2)

... the LORD shall cause his glorious voice to be heard, ...
(Isaiah 30:30 the (to 1st ,))

The LORD is my shepherd; ...

... he leadeth me beside the still waters.

... he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
(Psalms 23:1 (to ;), 2 2nd he, 3 2nd he)

As the children of Israel were guided triumphantly through the Red Sea, the dark ebbing and flowing tides of human fear, — as they were led through the wilderness, walking wearily through the great desert of human hopes, and anticipating the promised joy, — so shall the spiritual idea guide all right desires in their passage from sense to Soul, from a material sense of existence to the spiritual, up to the glory prepared for them who love God.
(Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy, p. 566:1–9)

Prayer cannot change the unalterable Truth, nor can prayer alone give us an understanding of Truth; but prayer, coupled with a fervent habitual desire to know and do the will of God, will bring us into all Truth.
(Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy, p. 11:27–31)

We cannot choose for ourselves, but must work out our salvation in the way Jesus taught. In meekness and might, he was found preaching the gospel to the poor. Pride and fear are unfit to bear the standard of Truth, and God will never place it in such hands.
(Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy, p. 30:30)

He was “the way.”
(Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy, p. 39:15 (only))

He overcame the world, the flesh, and all error, thus proving their nothingness.
(Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy, p. 39:4–6 2nd He)

“Now,” cried the apostle, “is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation,” — meaning, not that now men must prepare for a future-world salvation, or safety, but that now is the time in which to experience that salvation in spirit and in life. Now is the time for so-called material pains and material pleasures to pass away, for both are unreal, because impossible in Science. To break this earthly spell, mortals must get the true idea and divine Principle of all that really exists and governs the universe harmoniously.
(Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy, p. 39:18–27)

All that really exists is the divine Mind and its idea, and in this Mind the entire being is found harmonious and eternal. The straight and narrow way is to see and acknowledge this fact, yield to this power, and follow the leadings of truth.
(Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy, p. 151:26)

It is not wise to take a halting and half-way position or to expect to work equally with Spirit and matter, Truth and error. There is but one way — namely, God and His idea — which leads to spiritual being.
(Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy, p. 167:22–26)

Mind’s control over the universe, including man, is no longer an open question, but is demonstrable Science. Jesus illustrated the divine Principle and the power of immortal Mind by healing sickness and sin and destroying the foundations of death.
(Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy, p. 171:12)

We cannot build safely on false foundations. Truth makes a new creature, in whom old things pass away and “all things are become new.” Passions, selfishness, false appetites, hatred, fear, all sensuality, yield to spirituality, and the superabundance of being is on the side of God, good.
(Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy, p. 201:7)

Christian Science raises the standard of liberty and cries: “Follow me! Escape from the bondage of sickness, sin, and death!” Jesus marked out the way. Citizens of the world, accept the “glorious liberty of the children of God,” and be free! This is your divine right. The illusion of material sense, not divine law, has bound you, entangled your free limbs, crippled your capacities, enfeebled your body, and defaced the tablet of your being.
(Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy, p. 227:21)

There is but one way to heaven, harmony, and Christ in divine Science shows us this way.
(Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy, p. 242:9–10)

When we learn the way in Christian Science and recognize man’s spiritual being, we shall behold and understand God’s creation, — all the glories of earth and heaven and man.
(Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy, p. 264:28)

Who that has felt the loss of human peace has not gained stronger desires for spiritual joy? The aspiration after heavenly good comes even before we discover what belongs to wisdom and Love. The loss of earthly hopes and pleasures brightens the ascending path of many a heart. The pains of sense quickly inform us that the pleasures of sense are mortal and that joy is spiritual.
(Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy, p. 265:23)

When this hour of development comes, even if you cling to a sense of personal joys, spiritual Love will force you to accept what best promotes your growth. ... Universal Love is the divine way in Christian Science. ...

Mortals must follow Jesus’ sayings and his demonstrations, which dominate the flesh. Perfect and infinite Mind enthroned is heaven. The evil beliefs which originate in mortals are hell. Man is the idea of Spirit; he reflects the beatific presence, illuming the universe with light. Man is deathless, spiritual. He is above sin or frailty. He does not cross the barriers of time into the vast forever of Life, but he coexists with God and the universe.
(Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy, p. 266:10–12, 18 Universal, 24)

Jesus represented Christ, the true idea of God.
(Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy, p. 316:12 (only))

Explaining and demonstrating the way of divine Science, he became the way of salvation to all who accepted his word.
(Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy, pp. 315:32–2)

... “acquaint now thyself with Him, and be at peace.” Be watchful, sober, and vigilant. The way is straight and narrow, which leads to the understanding that God is the only Life. It is a warfare with the flesh, in which we must conquer sin, sickness, and death, either here or hereafter, — certainly before we can reach the goal of Spirit, or life in God.
(Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy, p. 324:12 acquaint)

Spiritual development germinates not from seed sown in the soil of material hopes, but when these decay, Love propagates anew the higher joys of Spirit, which have no taint of earth. Each successive stage of experience unfolds new views of divine goodness and love.
(Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy, p. 66:11)

Though the way is dark in mortal sense, divine Life and Love illumine it, destroy the unrest of mortal thought, the fear of death, and the supposed reality of error. Christian Science, contradicting sense, maketh the valley to bud and blossom as the rose.
(Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy, p. 596:23)

There is nothing difficult nor toilsome in this task, when the way is pointed out; but self-denial, sincerity, Christianity, and persistence alone win the prize, as they usually do in every department of life.
(Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy, p. 462:15)

Be watchful, sober, and vigilant.
(Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy, p. 324:13 (only))

The sharp experiences of belief in the supposititious life of matter, as well as our disappointments and ceaseless woes, turn us like tired children to the arms of divine Love.
(Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy, p. 322:26–29)

Willingness to become as a little child and to leave the old for the new, renders thought receptive of the advanced idea.
(Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy, pp. 323:32–2)

Love inspires, illumines, designates, and leads the way.
(Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy, p. 454:18–19)
